An award winning church
Rendine craftsmanship in meeting the architectural challenges of the exposed timberwork in the St Therese Church Torquay has been celebrated by the MBAV with an award recognising the excellence and quality of the build.
Soaring ceilings featuring NSW Stringybark trusses were the result of collaboration between Rendine and the architect to develop seamless connection details. Natural timber was also featured in the versatile terraces, folly wall and the herringbone flooring of the raised sanctuary.
The Parish of Torquay have a church that can cater for the packed Christmas and Easter masses, and still provide smaller spaces for the numerous community groups that use the building during the week.
