A stunning transformation in the heart of the Otways

The redevelopment of the Gellibrand Depot was divided into four stages. The foremost reason for this was to ensure the facility remained fully operational throughout the duration of the construction process.

The key objectives of the build were to supplant existing structures that were near the end of their lifecycle, with new structures that enhanced the proficiency of the workplace and warehouse layout.

The main structures built included an office and amenities building housing up to 30 staff with separate public access points, a dangerous goods shed, workshop and chainsaw shed, trailer shed, burn mix trailer shed, road mix bin storage, wash down bay and fuel system with above ground bowser (diesel and petrol).

The talented architects at FMSA created a brilliant synergy between the construction and the scenic Otways, a construction that was delivered one month early despite several challenges including operating in the wettest part of Victoria.
